What's Happening @ SORBA Uwharrie

Welcome to SORBA Uwharrie - home of the Uwharrie Ride Center Project!  Uwharrie currently has over 60 miles of trails for you to explore.  SORBA Uwharrie helps maintain these trails and is always looking for ways to improve the riding experiance here in Uwharrie.  If you are interested in being part of an explosive new destination for mountain bikers and the great outdoors then Join SORBA Uwharrie and enjoy the Ride!

The Uwharrie Ride Center Construction is under way and we NEED your help!  Stephen Mullis is a professional trail builder has been hired by IMBA/SORBA and SORBA Uwharrie to begin the first phase of the Ride Center.  He will be here with a crew for about 6 weeks working on the trails.  We are looking for volunteers  to help create an awesome riding experience for all!

The trail work days are scheduled for the next 5 Saturdays and we need as many volunteers as possible!  All trail days will be from 9 am to 3 pm.  You can work a couple of hours or the whole day – just come out and help build the first ever Ride Center in all of North Carolina!

We will be having a cook out on the last Saturday to celebrate all the hard work and progress made.
